Very nicely done BT. I even use this type of pattern for very low water Summer Run Steelhead fishing. Were quite effective late this season.

Nice work. I lived in the UK for several years back in the '90's and used to fish buzzers at Latimer, northwest of London, and Bushyleaze near Burford (don't know if those lakes are open any more). Buzzers were very effective, I landed my largest trout ever, about 6 lbs, out of Latimer. Now my home waters are in Northern California, and my last trip out was Lake Davis north of Tahoe in October and I landed a bunch of rainbows using blood midge patterns under an indicator. Seems those "buzzers" work everywhere!

Sweet! Great use of the red hook. I saw some packs on sale - apparently no one likes them - and thought of exactly what you're doing. Add a bead, a lump of thread, some antron, some KF ... whatever and it's done! I haven't tried any yet but thanks for the inspiration.
