Default New Vise

Well I have a new HMH coming from Santa but just could not resist this DH Thompson I found on ebay. After reading all the history on the Thompson's I decided I had to have one. It came in today with a bobin and whip finisher. The vise looks new and adjusts very well. I think I will use it to tie ny first fly. Actually a friend of mine that tied professionally years ago used a Thompson and still does to this day. woo hoo

They are a wonderful and simple tool and I tied many flies on one just like that too. How bout a picture of the whip tool that came with it please. I have been looking for an original DH Thompson tool to replace one I lost for six years. Is it flat black?

It's not black but does appear to be original. Here is a picture of the tool and the Thompson directions.
