Default Sharkskin Magnum Line Question

I think the answer is yes but I just want to make sure. This line has a loop welded end on it correct to attached a looped leader.

I took a look the loop closely. At cabela's 2 out of 3 GPX sharkskins had an issue at the weld (almost a finger nail sized crack at the weld).

For $100 I wanted the loop to work and not allow water in.

This was about 24 months ago and surely they have it figured out by now.
