TROUTFEST 2013, a Fly-Fishing Banquet and Exposition will be held on the Guadalupe River at Rio Raft Resort on the 15th, 16th & 17th of February 2013. The funds generated by the Banquet and Expo will be used by GRTU to conserve, protect and restore the cold tailwater fishery immediately below the Canyon Dam on the Guadalupe River. Talented Fly Tyers, Kid Fish Pond, Educational Classes, and Local shopping will surely provide enjoyment for the Whole Family! Friday night's banquet will host Lefty Kreh as the keynote speaker. Saturday and Sunday's EXPO will feature: Wanda Taylor, professional guide and casting instructor since the '80's will bring an insightful look at a variety of subjects from small stream tactics to fly casting for the ladies; Taylor Streit from Taos Fly Shop in New Mexico who is an author, guide and photograper for over 40 years. This group will surely make this event one of the largest outdoor fly fishing events in the State of Texas. GRTU TroutFest is presenting the widely popular International Fly Fishing Festival. Each year the latest, independent fly fishing film will be showing on the banks of the Guadalupe River at the famed Rio Raft Resort on Saturday evening, Feb 16th. A family friendly event. Open lawn seating so bring your chairs and blankets for a great time on the bank of the river!
