Hi guys I'm new to the forum and also new to the sport of fly fishing. I just bought pontoon boat and can't wait to try it out.

Hi ddrysdale,

Welcome to the forum. OK, you have a new pontoon but do you have any fly gear? Fishing from a pontoon is my favorite way to fish rivers.

Hi D,

You will find that this is a good place to find answers to questions that come up for you. It also is an enjoyable social exercise and there are many interesting & knowledgeable people who post here.

Since I'm a nice guy I'll offer your first piece of forum advise; you should probably learn to cast pretty well before trying it on a pontoon boat.

Welcome to the forum,

Ard

Welcome to the forum, I've only been flyfishing a few years. I've learned more here in 5 months than all other sources combined. Just keep asking questions.
