Default The Secret Fishing Hole

A couple of young fellers were fishing at their special pond off the beaten track when out of the bushes jumped the Game Warden.

Immediately, one of the boys threw his rod down and started running through the woods like a bat out of hell, and hot on his heels came the Game Warden.

After about a half mile the fella stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath and the Game Warden finally caught up to him.

"Let's see yer fishin' license, Boy!!" the Warden gasped as he grabbed him by the collar.

With that, the fella pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license.

"Well, son," said the Game Warden, "you must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"

"Yes, sir," replied the young feller. "But my friend back there, well, he don't have one."

A little late to the party--- 332 views and not one response?

This reminds me of a story my older bro used to tell me--

He had a friend who didn't drink (poor sap... LOL!)-- anyhow, they'd all go out drinking at a local dive-- the police were notorious for hanging out in a lot across the street and wait for people to leave.....

Come leaving time, they'd send out their buddy who didn't drink and he'd stumble out the door and fumble with his keys getting into the car, etc....

Generally attract the attention of the officer on duty-- he'd get in and drive off-- the police would follow him, while all of the drinkers would use the window to get out of there....

Of course, I don't know what the big performance was about, he also told me that back then, the police would just pull you over and follow you home-- no arrests, no fines, just an 'escort' to get you home safely....

...yup..I remember being escorted home on several occasions. One of the nice things about growing up in a small town in Wyoming. I worked for the city and had coffie with the officers every morning. looking back now...I avoided a much fluffier record because of it.

Great story Brew!

This is similar to "I don't have to be faster than the bear, I just have to be faster than YOU".
