Default Diamondback Aeroflex 8'6" 5wt....Almost Charity!

SOLD PENDING FUNDS
LOL....

Here's a rod that I bought when Eyler's Fly Shop was going out of business in 2004. Retail was $425, but I paid much less. The rod has been used less than a dozen times, maybe half of that. This was Diamondback's premier rod, and features Ti recoil guides, maple reel seat insert, nickel silver hardware, and very nice cork (nicer than my Sage cork!). Weight is 3.1oz, and action is fast. The rod will cast a 5 or 6 wt line, and I'd use a 5.5wt or 6wt line. If you're casting for distance, a 5wt line is dandy. Condition is mint, with no marks on the blank. All 3 sections are full length, and ferrule fit is perfect. I didn't polish the nickel silver, but it shines up to a high gloss (I have the same rod in 2-pc, and I've polished that one before). I just wanted to get the pics up, so I'll polish it, and post the results. (Polished and results are shown in last picture)

Best part: $145 Shipped to the CONUS!!!! I'll include the receipt, so you will have the warranty. Cortland owns Diamondback, and the warranty is still very much in effect. I called Diamondback/Cortland's repair department this past week to make sure. They still have sections, and blank sections, and if they don't, you get another model rod. This rod was made in the USA.

Includes rod, cloth bag, and a very sturdy aluminum tube.

PayPal is fine. Checks from forum regulars are fine. USPS money orders from people I don't know are fine.
