1977 Orvis Far & Fine Combo

Hi guys,

I'm not on here very often...(A herniated L5-S1 and torn rotator cuff seems to have put a damper on my fly fishing endeavors)

I got the go ahead from Ard to post up.

I have a May of 1977 Orvis Far & Fine 7'-9" 5wt and 1st Generation English Hardy Bros. Orvis CFO III reel that I would like to send to a good home.

The rod is in Great shape given the age - It only shows wear on the grip from the hand oils transferred during use. I do not have the original sock or case but it is well protected. It is the un-sanded gray model with burgundy wraps. Unless I am mistaken this represents the 1st version of this rod in it's second year of production.

The reel readily shows signs of use with small dings and chips present around the exposed edges but operates as it should, makes the signature noise and is eminently serviceable/restorable/as-is useable.

EDIT - PRICE REDUCTION
Okay...Maybe $600 is a bit lofty - I'll go $500 plus shipping
