9" 6wt. 4 pc. Cabelas MTx rod.

http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...psc3504ac0.jpg

This is an essentially new rod. It has less than 2 hours casting on it. I can't see any signs of use on it at all. This was purchased at the Winnepeg Manitoba store and was the only one they had. It's rod sock and tube were misplaced by the store. So this rod is without them. They sell for $399.99.

Make an offer or maybe even a trade.

This is the description from Cabelas;
Mixed with our MTx rods’ premier blend of high-modulus graphite is a 3M™ Powerlux™ matrix resin that incorporates nano-sized silica particles to increase strength, durability and sensitivity, without adding weight. In fact, MTx fly rods are 60% stronger and 15% lighter than conventional fly rods. Premium components of the MTx series include ion-plated hard-chrome single-foot guides and a Recoil stripper guide; weight-reducing skeletonized aluminum reel seat with carbon-fiber insert; and 4A-grade cork grip. Ships in a protective rod sock and beautiful carbon rod tube. 25-year warranty.

Edit: There are a few models on sale right now. This one is not one of the models, but thought you should know there are a few.

I know you prefer the long sticks Dan, but I wouldn't even fish a 9 inch rod!? ;)

As I said, there wasn't a sock or tube for this rod, But there is a Cabelas sock and case for a different 4 pc. rod that can go with it.

Also, reasonable trades will be considered.

We've gone a bit more than two weeks with no response on this. If there is not some interest soon I think I will just pull it and maybe ebay it. This rod looks like it has never been cast, it is a good deal for whoever wants a light fast rod in a 9' 6wt. rod.

I think I will give it another week then pull it.

A pm was sent but there was no real offer. Still for sale, may be consider a slightly less reasonable offer.

I would totally buy this rod... However, I'm just starting work this week, so I don't have the cheddar... But, I will totally +1 this rod. Excellent caster. I cast it right along side the Sage one and it was hard for me to figure out which one I liked better...
