Default WTB: 5wt Line for Medium Action Rod

I have a 9ft 5wt Orvis Clearwater (Original) that was given to me. I want to get a line for it to keep as an extra rod for teaching friends and taking guest, etc. I have bought 4 lines in the last week, so looking for something slightly used or a mid tier line. Just something well priced. Nothing over $40 shipped please.

I looked back through Sept 13 and didn't find anything.

The rod is not super fast, so something like a Trout LT or other presentation line would be great!

Thanks.

Not to discourage any of the membership with presenting you with an offer, but why not look at these?

H&H Weight Forward Lines-Hook & Hackle

I believe they're made by Cortland. They have WF or DT and the price is right.

Cabela's has last years Rio Gold at 50% off so it right at $43 tax included shipped to the store....typically a $75 line. I order a spool for my 6wt this morning.

I got one of those as well for my S4 6wt. Not gonna be the right line for this rod though...too heavy.

Have you tried a Gold in wf4? It's half weight heavy may load your medium rod well... 4.5s work well on both my Granger 8642 which is supposed to be a 5wt... And loads my 5wt glass well too...

Also +1 for H&H lines... Made by Cortland... Good lines for slower rods
