Any Experience with Cabela's Brand Fly Line?

Has anyone used the Cabela's house-brand fly line? Is it decent stuff (major manufacturer re-branded for Cabela's) or is it just junk? How does it perform and are there any durability issues?

Cabela's has their Prestige fly line on sale, regularly $30 for $15; and they have their Prestige Plus fly line (extra slick) on sale, regularly $40 for $30.

i've got both of them 1 in a 4wt and 1 in a 6wt and i'm not wild about either

the tip sinks way to easy
and in real cold weather they get real stiff

i just ordered two spools of the regular prestige and am hoping to fish them the first of march and will let you know what i think

I have the prestige plus line, I like it but probably will not buy it again. As catfish said the tip sinks more than it should, but that oddly came in handy when I was doing some still water fishing last summer.

just out of curiousity do you two have the welded loops on them? i have heard others say they sink without welded loops but with them they float better and was to glue the tip with head cement if i was to cut off the loop

Will it be comparable to Rio's offerings? Probably not.... will it be a hell of a lot better than any other $15.00 line? Definitely. (grain of salt with that last statement.... the point is obvious)

I have used them in the past without any major complaints. As was mentioned-- in the cold they tend to be a little stiff-- I am in KC-- the stiffness was not a problem for the little winter fishing I actually get to do, but $15.00 for 9 months out of the year season-- go fer it.

my 4wt is the perstige and it does and it floats a little better than the prestige plus
don't get me wrong for the money they are good linesand i'm not changing
them out yet but when i do i'll go with a better line

My prestige plus line has a welded loop, and it sinks after some time on the water. I agree for the money its hard to beat.

I got the regular prestige in a 5wt with the welded loop and it started sinking after about an hour of fishing. Can't say that it hurt me too bad, but just the same it was a little disappointing.
