Default fly line preferences for St. Croix 6wt,9ft Imperial

Is anyone aware of a particular fly line that works best with a 9ft 6 wt St. Croix Imperial fly rod? I'm used to using a Cortland wf 444SL line on my other rods, but was wondering if there was something else that this particular rod seems to favor. This rod will be an "all round" lake rod where trout, sm bass, lm bass, Pike, and large crappie all can suprise at any time. I would appreciate any experience you all may have with this rod and lines.
