Default Casting sinking tip

I struggle a little to cast my sinking tip line(Cabelas brand).Because the sinking part is so much stiffer than the rest of the line it turns over harder. Is this normal or is it just dodgy line? I have to replace it anyhow as it is so coiled up from being on the reel, even though I use it once every time I fish for a day. Which is a decent affordable sinking line (5wt) ?

Your line doesn't need to be replaced, just stretched
Either do it a few feet at a time by pulling it over your knee, or tie it to a tree or a car bumper and stretch the whole thing at once
Or course the best way to stretch a line is by catching a big one

Sinking lines are more difficult cast. Nature of the beast. Your line is fine.
