Welded Perfection Loop Breaking?

New SA Sharkskin 8wt line and the upper part of the weld seems to be coming undone/breaking.

Anyone have any experience with this? Should I just superglue it, or send it in to SA?

Contact SA, they replaced a tip for me a few years ago.

Welding loops is fairly easy if you have the equipment.

Great film clip. But 'how much heat?' I've seen numbers that are all over the map.

Why go back to a weak welded loop? Cut it off and bend over the end of the line forming a loop and nail knot the parallel portions together 3X with 12lb flouro.

One of these days, I'm going to take a laser temperature gauge to my Eddy heat gun. I set my heat gun to the lowest heat setting.

I work at a shop in AZ and this is how we add loops to lines when they don't have them or they have broken. For this video we do it with the li e to backing connection but you can do this with the front as well I hope this helps.

Why not do a whipped loop on the line, I do at least 2" of the line for salt. goes through the guide easier than the nail knots and is just as strong..

Why is the tip of your line going through the guides?
