Default Rio Gold - which Color?

Thinking about picking up a Rio Gold WF5F.

Any opinions on which color combo is preferred?

'Melon + Gray' or 'Moss + Gold'

I'm thinking of which is easier to see on the water?

+1 for the Melon. Easy to spot on the water. I imagine the same can be said for the gold though.

I fish both colors, either one of them are fine. The Melon + Gray is brighter compared to the Moss + Gold, but not over the top. The fish don't mind with either.

The more significant concern would be which version of Rio Gold Line are you buying to match up with your rod. The older versions are purportedly lighter than the 2013 version.

Thanks, thats interesting that they've changed the weight in the 2013. I was planning on using this line with a 8.5' Orvis Access mid flex. I wonder if the heavier 2013 might be a bit much for it?
