I will use a furled leader on my floating line on Stillwater. This way I can shorten tippet and fish dries or surface feeders, OR I can attach 10 feet or more tippet and still be able to cast.
Hmmmm, I'd been wondering about exactly that lately when fishing an intermediate line from my float tube. Couldn't see why not.

I could see using maybe using one on Hover or Intermediate if fishing really shallow, but only because of presentation.
The faster the sinking line, the shorter the leader.

OH! Twisted leaders. That is cool, I think we all tried those...LOL. Kglissmeyer1 uses those too. They call them furled, but they are more twisted.
There is a difference. QUIGLEY'S TWISTED LEADERS - From Trout to Tarpon!
Have you tried a THREAD furled leader?

No, I haven't tried an actual furled leader. I might look into it in the future but for now I will stick to a twisted leader lol
