Default Line for the 8'6" 4 wt."One"

Just acquired a Sage One in an 8'6" 4 weight configuration.

Did some lawn casting with two lines. RIO Gold 4wf and SA Mastery Textured Trout 4 wf.

SA Mastery trout was OK and probably a good dry fly line if the distance is not too great, say 35-40 ft.

Gold seemed much better at just about any distance , short to long.

Good tight loops with both lines but the rod seems to favor Gold over the SA.

What line have you found to be best for dry/droppers or nymphing under an indicator?

Bob
