Well.... after 2 months of dry flyfishing, my new Rio Gold like cracked near the loop...
We'll see how Rio will respond....

Good luck, you are one of many who have all seen the same problem with the Rio Gold. I wonder if Rio is working on a solution to an obvious product peformance issue?

Ard, When I was on my recent trip to Grayling; I was in a local flyshop and one of the customers mentioned having a crack develop in the loop on his SA GPX. He gave SA a call, they got his address and mailed him a new line; they didn't even ask for the old line. He was pretty pleased with their service.

Really interesting thread! I use SA fly lines; and I have a few of them in different weights; and apart from my silk lines, I would say SA lines are certainly my favourite line to fish with. Not had any problems with them! They're well respected here in the UK.
