Default Frayed End Loop

Hi, I just bought some brand new RIO Indicator line and right when I attached the leader to it the first time it tore some coating off the line and it's frayed on the end now just a bit. Is this going to compromise the strength of the loop? Or will I be ok to keep using it?

You might try touching up the frayed portion with a little UV Knot Sense.

If the core is in tact, the loop will hold.

The use of UV Knot Sense to cover it up is a good idea.

If you are worried about failure, tie on a butt section and seal the knot with UV Knot Sense.
