Materials Listed in Order of Tie In:
Hook	Partridge Klinkhamer #12
Bead	1/8" (3.25 mm) brass bead, black nickel
Weight	.020" lead wire, 4 wraps, used to secure bead
Thread	Uni-Thread 6/0, red
Tail	Purple marabou
Body	Simi Seal, purple

Note 1	This is just a Mohair Leech that is flashy and on a curved hook. Simi Seal dubbing is made from Angora Goat (Mohair - seal substitute) that is mixed with flash material.
Note 2	The body is made with a dubbing loop. After it is palmered forward, the Simi Seal dubbing is picked out.
Note 3	To get direction on the body, douse the fly with water. Then blow dry it going front to back. Trim any excess hair.
Note 4	Black, purple, wine, olive, brown, and burnt orange are popular colors. I tie this patten mostly in size 12, but I have tied it in size 8 and 10. Color of bead is up to the tyer.

My method is a variation of the Rohmer version. Rohmer's version is the original. I tied it the way that he briefly mentioned it with the dubbing loop but without wax. The water and blow dryer give the fly the swept back look.

Thank you for the video. His method is simpler.

The more I think about it, the more I really like the idea of the marabou tail. I don't think I have ever seen them sold like that, I guess if I want some I'm gonna have to tie them.
