Default Cabelas/Ross Question

Hello,

I own a Cabelas #2 Wathershed reel. They no longer sell reels or spools. I have been poking around online and have noticed the Ross Rhythm Reels look almost identical. The measurements seem spot on as well. I really would like to get another spool. Anybody have any knowledge/suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not a direct answer, but....
not long ago Cabelas offered its Wind River outfit on sale for $30 bucks. I bought one for my nephew to use. About the same time I bought a discounted Redington Crosswater reel from Sierra Outfitters... the two reels were identical. It seems likely that Cabelas contracts with other manufacturers to fill the reel menu...

From what I found on another forum, your reel is made by Ross and one of their Rhythm spools will fit it.

I've owned 4 Cabelas fly reels and except for one little 3wt sized "Cahill", they can have the others back.
I recently tried to replace a missing part from a Cabelas spinning reel that I found. Not only does Cabelas not sell parts, but they refused to say who made the reel so I couldn't even get my part elsewhere.
I like many of the other Cabelas products, but never again will I buy one of their reels, at least without knowing who made it.

Thanks Rip. I think a Rhythm #2 is my best bet. It does totally match up but at this point I am willing to give it a try.
I feel the same way about cabelas now too. They do make some quality products for less than other major manufactuarers. However the way they treated me with this problem, I will not be buying reels from them in the future.

Well I guess now the important question is can I find a Rhythm #2. Called a couple places already, no luck.

I have a Watershed 2 and a Ross Evolution LT 2. The spools and reels are interchangable. I just checked when I read your post. We have a Cabela's store here, and I was told, and shown, that these reels and spools were interchangeable, but that the Ross Rhythm was not. I have no experience with the Rhythm, so can't verify what I was told.
