Not the most exotic of reels, this Lamson Guru, but I like the shot. Taking a bonefish break.

Sep,

That could be the cover of a vacation brochure for a warm and beautiful place, or the cover of the Lamson catalog.

That looks like one of those "wish you were here" moments.

For my sub 6wts. I have fallen in love with click/pawl reels and in particular the new Orvis Battenkill II and III's. Pictured here is ONE of my III's on my birthday gift from this weekend its a 9' Mystic Reaper 4wt.

bmbailes, that's yet another artful photo for this thread.
I'm also a fan of the classic looks of Orvis's new Battenkill reels plus it's a good value. I own that Mystic rod as well (another great fly fishing value) and found I needed a heavier real to balance it to my liking. But the Battenkill III is perfect for my 8' 3 wt. rod.

MAD777- i thought i would want a heavier reel but i'm really liking the overall feel of it. and yes, these new battenkills just seem to be what i picture in a classic trout reel.

Here's my latest aquisition, a black Ari't Hart ARAS with ported frame.
I'm told it's the only one of its kind in existence......
