She loves you man That beats a gift card doesn't it? She knew what you wanted, might as well give her a hug from me too for that

Gorgeous Abel ja501. And it's on a great rod to boot (looks like a Winston GVX to me).

Thank you.

I'm hoping to add some more just as soon as I get my pic files right.

Don't know what that Emoticon means, but I thought it was cute.

A while back I decided to play with a Chinese medalist. Here is a 1492.5, I decided to devalue a tad.

I went to my shop, and pulled out my drill, and buffer, and came up with this.

Its now left handed retrieve, minus a un-nessary 2nd pawl........ and the foot was drilled out just for fun.

Ahh.... after all my efforts, its really still a heavy weight, but was a fun inexpensive beginner type of modification project.

"wallym3" I can only hope I can start to do stuff like this someday.

This picture you posted is is super neat! The machining presented in this reel is superb. I also love the sculpted pillars in this design.

So, I was kind of criticizing the new kid on the block CHEEKY reels for their color schemes. I know color doesn't help fishing, but I'm an art director so I end up paining over aesthetics (it's my job).

Lo and behold, I ended up winning one at the local fly shop raffle.

I decided to post photos here for those that might enjoy it. It does have a nice sealed drag. Oddly enough they have come out with an all silver version....hmmm I wonder why?

I ended up selling it and put that toward a new Hatch Finatic 4+, which I will post later.
