Antique Large Arbor Reel

For those who thought that Large Arbor reels were a new design here is a pre-World War 1 reel. The back plate is mahogany.

Frank,
Is this one of your reels? Who exactly is the manufacturer?
Thanks,

Hi Terry,

I wish it was mine. It set a new record for fly reels. Here is all I know about it. There has been similar reels made as late as 1990. Here is a link to some of the Aerial reels.

Hi wyefly,

Having not seen the box I can't say what it says. It is a fly reel.
