Default Vintage Martin 67A Question

I have always retrieved left handed. Up to now I have been using an Orvis Battenkill 3/4 reel. It functions as would expect for left handed, when I wind in the line there is no resistance and when I strip out line there is resistance from the drag. I have a very nice old Martin 67A which appears to be set up for right handed retrieval. If I adjust the drag it impacts only the winding in of the line and when I strip out line there is no resistance. Is there a way the switch the reel to left handed?

Chuck

Thanks so much.

I followed the instructions you provided and the reel now retreives left handed.

Glad you have it sorted; see the little icon up in the right of these posts that looks like a set of scales? If you scroll up to Rip Tides reply and then click the scales you can send him an 'official forum feedback'. The feedback is called 'Reputation' and it is the only reward we get here for trying to be helpful to others. You can leave him a comment along with the rep when you click the scales too.

I have already repped him and you as well on this thread This type of question / answer exchange is one thing that makes this forum so wonderful for its members. There are people here who seem to know everything or who know where to find it.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you'll continue to post with us here.
