Thanks for all the responses everyone. I really like that LL bean reel. A classic but modern look at a decent price.

I think it will be between that and the redington for the 2wt.

For the bamboo...I am thinking I will keep an eye out for one of those martins that ard mentioned

As a late coming response, you may want to look up Shu-Fly Rod Co. They sell reels also. They state 3/4wt, but I have one on a 6' 6" 3wt and it balances well, so I imagine it would do the same for your 2wt. They are generally inexpensive little reels. I've been happy with mine. I purchased mine for less than $30.

The Pocket Water is a bit big for a 2 WT, it is more of a 4WT reel.
I'd go with the Reddington.

One of my pack rods is a Greys GS2...great little rod..7' 2wt. For the money.....I love this rod.

My Orvis BBS I balances out pretty well.

I had picked up Reddington a year or so ago....lets just say....its still in the box.

Grey's also has some discounted models from time to time...
