Default Caps/Fishon reels?

Anyone have any experiance with them? I think they're Japanese made but not too sure, some say they are cast, some say stamped. Just wondering what your thoughts might be as to quality and durability. They sure do look the good though!

Never held one Bill but that red agate job that is about the same size as a St. George was on my watch list for over a month. I would have bought it but in reality I need to stop looking at or buying trout sized reels, I have too many that don't see use. However I would have one if I were fishing mainly trout with my cane rods. In the photos they have the reels mounted to cane and I gotta say they look sweet don't they?

Looked at the Caps Airedale. Wicked looking small reel and for the price I may just get one to see. Seems like a unique item!

That's the model that got me interested. They are some sweet looking reels though and you're right there Ard that shot with the cane has me checking my account balance!

I have a Fishon Bear Cub on my 6'6" 3wt. bamboo. It's retro looking enough that it fits the 'boo and it balances out nice. It's a 3wt, so it doesn't have to do much more than hold line. I'm happy with it. BUT, I didn't pay nearly as much as they are asking for them now.

Would you say they're still worth the higher price tag?
