Default Any experience/opinion on a Greys Hardy Streamlite reel?

Does anyone have any experience/opinion with the streamline series of reels. I'm a little concerned about the reel pin mechanism. It looks like it would be a bear to fix and maybe even prone to breaking?

They actually provide a second part/spare (the black piece of plastic in the photo). Is that a bad sign?

Thanks,
Cardo

I don't know these reels but I would avoid plastic if at all possible. If you were to consider plastics or composites the old Cortland Graphite LTD reels are fairly sturdy. They are designed like the Rim Fly reels but sorta look like a Marquis a little.

Cool Re: Any experience/opinion on a Greys Hardy Streamlite reel?

Here's a couple of video reviews for you to watch.
I actually have the 4/5 reel on a 10' 4wt Grey's Streamflex.
it's lined with a Rio WF5F Coldwater Clouser.
Great for nymphing and I also throw streamers with it.
I called Hardy/Grey's and they sent me 4 more of the little plastic pawls.
Not sure what that means.
The reel is light and sounds nice in my opinion.
Here you go. Hope this helps.
