Default Abel Grateful Dead reels

Not really my thing but I could see how Deadheads would love this one.

That's funny the site you list them on has the 4n at $800, I got mine from TCO flyshop of PA and got it for $770.

Naw...not for me. I like understated gray or black and not too noisy.

Now if it was an Elvis fly reel I'd buy it for the ole lady in a heart beat. She doesn't fish but treasures anything to do with "the King". On second thought what am I thinkin'....I wouldn't buy an Elvis reel either.

Maybe a pink "snoopy reel" for my grand daughter. Maybe.

Deadheads shelling out 800 buck for a fly reel! What has the world come to? Uncle Jerry is laughing is ass off somewhere....

Sometimes the lights all shinin on me;
Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it's been.

I doubt it. He was worth about $40million when he died. And if you know anything about his guitars (Gibson SG...) cost THOUSANDS...

Deadheads and trout bums are basically kindred spirits. Both put every dime of their money into their passion first and left the real world problems to others. Sure we look broke but if you add up the gear or tickets. You'd see we're pretty well off. Just that we have priorities.

I've never seen a reel I want more. Too bad I am too cheap to buy a standard Abel, much less the super whiz bang special limited edition deluxe one....
