Default Looking for a new reel.

Hey guys. Ive been researching for awhile now about which reel to buy for my TFO BVK rod. I just got into fly fishing this year and I started out with a redington crosswater combo pack and im going to upgrade for next season. So far i purchased a tfo rod now looking for a reel to compliment this rod.

Heres the contenders:

Ross Evolution LT . - Great looking reel, lightweight, reputable brand, good drag

Sage 4200 - quality sage product , expensive, great finish

Lamson Litespeed II - looks nice, hardened finish that doesnt scratch, great drag system

Greys gx700 - good price point, spare spools with purchase, drag could use work though

Any opinion? Price range 150-300$

if you like the Lamson line the Velocitys are an absolute steal right now.. I just picked up a #2 for 154. and a number 3 for 169. and I'm thinking about grabbing a 1.5 for 149.

I would also look at Allen FFing "Trout" or "Alpha" reel. Under $150 and then get a good line.

Good choice. I have quite a few Ross Reels, including an Evo LT. That's a quality reel that's made here in the States and Ross will back it up for life.

Enjoy.

If you have the coin those are great choices. Love my Ross reels. Love my Lamsons, jryal is ok not the ultimate reel I expected it to be....so many reels...they are one of the least important pieces of gear.

I like my new Allen.

If money is not an object or care your doing great. Need a great value go Okuma.

Google 'SpeyCo' fly reels. These are not a 'Child's Toy,' you could pound nails with Tim's.
