Default WTB: 3 weight reel

I just bought a 9' 3 wt rod and am now looking for a reel. In order for it to balance, I will need a reel that is < 3.8 oz.
Any suggestions? Does anyone have one that they want to unload?

I'm using a Hardy cc3000 on my 3wt. and love it. 3.8 oz. at 3.54" diameter.

For a more traditional look, there is the Orvis Battenkill III weighing 3.7 oz at 3.25" diameter.

Both are click & pawl reels.

Hi

Ive been fishing with a Vision Cult 9' 3wt for a few years now, its my float tubing rod and i hunt Perch and Roach in the Forth & Clyde canal with it from the bank. I found my wee Greys G-series just didn't feel right (not heavy enough)

so i treated myself to a snowbee Geo 3/4 reel, its larger arbour has a excellant drag it makes the rod feel much better.

I also treated myself to a Hardy Flyweight for me Vision Cult fibre 5' 9" 3/4# its feels silly on the 9' 3wt but perfect on the 5' 9" rod.

I had a Galvin Torque 3 (4.2oz) which balanced my 8'8" 3wt nicely. But my Abel Super 2 (4.4oz) is a little better i think. I guess it comes down to what you want to spend.

I decided to go with the Lamson Litespeed 1.5. It balances perfectly. Thanks for all of the advice.

That is fascinating: I tried my Hardy Flyweight on the new 9' 3 wt rod, and the reel was much too light. Today I tried a 3.5 oz Lamson Litespeed and it balanced perfectly.
