Default Pflueger question

Hi everyone, I had a question about a 1495 pflueger. It is stamped made in Akron and also has the letter B stamped on it. Anybody know what the B means. Thanks for any info.

Don't know. A friend has an Akron reel and it also has the B on the foot underside.
