Default Hardy reel refinish

Hi all, as some of you would know I am a mad keen collector of hardy fly reels and have some that I have got hold of at a reasonable price because of the condition of the reel. However I would like to fish with these reels and therefore would like them not only to work well but to look good as well. With this in mind I will get back to my point. Does anyone know of somewhere I could get these reels refinished? Thanks and screeming reels in 2009

Hi reckless,

Here is a person that I have heard about but I don't know him. His name is Bill Archuleta. You might want to take a chance with him. I assume no responsibility if he is a dud. Here is a link to his WEB site. I do know that he works on Hardy's.

Hi Reckless,

If you use him please give us a report on how the reel turns out. I believe he has the ability to make new parts if needed.

Frank

Thanks Frank. I have made contact and will be sending a "not so important" reel for a test before sending some of the more valuable stock. Thanks for the lead and will report back when I get the finished product. I have no idea how long this will take as it is not a major repair but a finish problem. Neil
