Hi rapman,

All of the Teton reels are machined from bar stock. They are a well built reel at a great price point. The drag works very well and West Coast Steelheaders like them.

I have a Teton Tioga & the only problem I have with it is the drag adjust knob sticks out a little further than usual & I've lost a few fish trying to get them on the reel when they've run & the line whipped around the knob. other then that it's a great reel with a nice smooth drag. You just have to be aware of the knob & pay a little more attention to line control......

I have a Tioga Teton on my 10' 7wt Thomas/Thomas Steelhead rod & I've never had a problem. It's always worked very well.

Try looking at the Fly Depot website. They still show having some available for purchase.

I didn't mean the comment about the line getting caught to come across as don't buy the reel.. I like the reel & use it . it's just something to be aware of. I would buy one again without any second thoughts.
