Default Re: Batson rods and blanks?

I just ordered 2 Batson blanks this morning from a place called Acidrods.com based in California. I have never done any business with them before so I will have to wait and reply back after I receive the rods. Prices were a little cheaper than what Batson's website quoted. I ordered 2 5wts to build as Christmas gifts (one 4pc and one 2pc). I look forward to building them. I have fished a 4wt rainshadow rod that fished like a dream. For the money these blanks are hard to beat.

Both of the 5wts are 9'. I figured it would be a good length to get my Dad and Brother started as they will use them for smallmouth and trout. I hope to have them here to get started on them soon. I am just about finished with my 3wt superfine Trout Bum so I should be ready to start on them within the next week or so. The 4wt rainshadow that I fished was a 7'6" rod. From what I remember it was a moderate fast action which is the same as the 5wts I have on order. I will try to get some pictures on here as soon as I get them all done.
