Great looking grip Johnson.
I tried my hand at birch bark a few years back. Out west there's not a lot of birch trees that I know of, so I could only get my hand on just alittle bit.
The other problem I had was the center hole. Birch bark is a b1tch if you have to enlarge the center hole with a file. 5/16" hole is small for a glass rod. I think I'd try it again for a graphite rod if I had the material.
Once again, excellent looking grip Jerry.

Jason, I love the looks of the birch bark...Very Very Cool

How do you think it compares in weight to cork?

Just having some fun with Jackson. Anyone familar with Bob and Tom's album that had the Joe Johnson Memory System? For some reason it came to mind.

Here it is on the blank. I epoxied it up this afternoon. I have to say, I love it!

Rod is a 6'6" 2wt. I can't wait to throw some line with it! I have an Orivs Battenkill Bar Stock I on the way for it as well. Thread is chestnut and copper metallic accent. Black guides.

I'm pumped.

Don't let him play your name sideways Jamie, besides I spell checked his post and the spell checker said his name was spelled Moho
