Default Re: Has anyone?

I did it on my 6 wt. I don't think it changed the way it acts at all, but I only did it up from the grip for about 6". Not overly bright colors or heavily busy pattern either. I have done feather inlays that were nearly as long. I did one on a casting rod with a really bright bunch of colors in a double alternating pattern that is pretty 'busy' to say the least. It looks good on that kind of rod. Not so sure about going to overboard on a fly rod. Seems kind like putting a cheap velvet painting in an art museum. Not the correct place for it.
