Default Some bling for my build

My wife took some time out of her jewelery-making to put together a bit of bling for a Sage VXP I'm building. Definitely a one of a kind.

Thanks, folks.

She's on a distressed-copper kick with her jewellery-making these days, so I thought I'd take advantage. Should look real nice when it ages and tarnishes.

I'll pass along the kudos.

+1 on the kudos! Very nice indeed. Those sorts of touches are one of the things I love about rod building, not over the top but truly custom. Made a rod for my sister in law a couple years ago and had her initials engraved into the butt cap, she loved it.

That's something you only see on artisan rods and I've never seen one like that, beautiful work and a personal touch! You better be careful about standing that rod up with the butt cap on surfaces that could scuff that up, but don't lay it down either.................... You'll figure it out. Maybe a little rubber cap in the pocket to slip over when resting the rod?? I would,

Beautiful

I'm not really concerned about a few scuffs and scrapes. It'll just add some more character to the distressed look. And if it it gets too bad, I'm sure I can convince her to create a new medallion.

Come to think of it, I have another rod I built last year that has a butt cap that's looking awfully plain. Think it might be time to go searching for another image to stencil.
