Default One for my granddaughter

Built on a no-name blank for my 10-yr-old granddaughter.

It's a 7'6" 4 wt. with a Ross FlyStart 1 Reel that balances just in the center of the handle.

That seat took more time than any other part of the rod.
First, I tried to do a marbling job that matched the blank color. It was close, but 'close' just looks like you tried something and failed. I never got a perfect match mixing the pigment.
So, after removing that finish, I decided to just do bright red/blue/yellow on a white background. That's what you see.

Excellent statement. I'll keep that one in my head when I try new things on my builds.

Great rod. I am sure she will have a blast fishing it with you. She'll have memories of using it with you the rest of her life
