Question Orvis Superfine "Trout Bum" 805/4

Hi-

I'm considering purchasing one of these rods and was wondering if anyone out there has experience with this model? Likes? Dislikes? General comments?

Thanks,
S

I have the 761-4 but the difference between the two rods is night and day. Earlier in the year was going to get the rod you are talking about as I wanted to replace my old 5WT (yes even I fish 5WT rods from time to time ). But my wife ended up getting me an 865-2 Zero Gravity for Valentine’s Day. I have cast the 805-4 Superfine and liked it; I just have never fished one.

I have the older model. Orvis redesigned the rod a few years ago. I've heard the new versions are stiffer - and more expensive. I wanted a slow rod, and that's what I got with the older version. I love it for small stream fishing.
