Question need opinions on (noob needs help)

hey everyone, my name is jon, and im new to fly fishing. ive only been a few times and used my brothers crappy WhiteRiver combo. i want to get a rod and reel for $300-350 approx. the hardy uniqua combo on flyshopcloseouts is well within my price range and hardy is a reputable brand, but what do you think? i dont want to waste my money on a cheap setup made in indonesia.

In my opinion you do not need to spend a wodge load of cash to get a decent fishing rod. Hardy is my favourite brand - I got a old second had one. It's quite heavy and probably not as effecient as the new ones but I'm attached to it now.

How Much Do I Need To Spend To Get A Reasonable Fly Fishing Rod? would be a good read
I think!

Good luck selecting a rod.

I like Redlines' tact on this,

There is no such thing as a crappy set up if it gets you on the water. Many of the fishermen I know did not start with a hand build Orvis bamboo rod. The Hardy set you mention sounds great and I'm sure you will be satisfied with their tackle. I think that dumping a wad of cash on your first outfit could be a mistake because you may decide you need a different weight, length, brand, and soon you have a few K tied up in three or four outfits.

Take your time and make a solid choice.
