Default closest thing to a Redington RS3?

I have a 3 wt 8' RS3- I love that little rod on small water, and would like to get something in a 4 wt, probably 8'6" or 9'. My price range is up to $250. Anyone have an opinion on a rod with a similar action?

Try the Redington RS4. It should be filtering into the stores about now. It is a newer graphite and feels a smidge lighter. The action is very similar except the feel is more refined. The RS4 is available in an 8'6" 4 weight and a 9' 4 weight.

Hi hawkeye79,

I think the RS4 is a very good choice. Call ReelFlyRod and talk to Todd at (937) 434-8472. He sells the full line of Redington and Sage rods. He fishes Redington rods and will be a big help to you. Buying from him supports NAFFF.
