My VT2 was a full blown noodle, but is was a 379-4.....I heard the 4wts were much better.

If I get another 6wt I am seriously considering a either a 9ft Z-Axis or have my buddy build a 9'6" Burkheimer.

Never going to let my SLT go, it is one sweet rod....I just need to practice more with it as it always takes a little while for me to get my timing back. I want another 3 wt so my wife won't steal it! What reel do you have on yours?

Funny. I bought my girlfriend a 7'6" 3 weight Redington CT, so she would have a light line rod to fish smaller water instead of my SLT. I am using an Abel TR1 on mine.

Oh, I would love an Abel TR1...in brown or, if I had money to burn...the cutthroat trout finish. Beautiful!

What line are you using?

My TR1 is black.

I used a Scientific Anglers Mastery Trout double taper for awhile. It is a wonderful line.

I am actually testing out a Joan Wulff Triangle Taper. I only have one outing on the water with this line. It shoots nicely and rolls decently.
