Default Another 3wt question?

What brands out the make a 8', 8'6", 9', 9'6", or 10' 3wt i have seen a few online and in magazines but cant seem to find anything of that length now that i am ready to pick one up and would like to add one more 3wt to the collection. I cant seem to remember who made the rods that i have seen.

Thanks,

Ab

I don't know about other makers but Orvis's longest 3wt is 8'4" in TLS, Hydros and Helios.

possibly TFO or Greys from house of hardy are the longest 4 wt's I've ever found never looked for a 3wt that long, really anyone looking into a 3wt (or smaller) is usually looking for a small stream rod that is no longer than the stream they fish.

TFO's 8'6" 3wt in the Pro series is a gem. A really fine rod at any price, much less for under $200.

I think Cabela's is selling a 10' 3wt, in their house branded stuff. "CZ___" or "Euro" sumthineranuther I think.

Greys makes a 10' 3 weight (Streamflex model).
No one makes a 9'6" 3 weight.
Sage has a 9' 3 weight in the Z-Axis. There may be others
Most rod companies have 8' and 8'6" 3 weights.

He probably meant, "No one makes a 9'6" 3wt."

Sage Flight 386-4: 8'-6" 3wt.

If I were looking for a 3wt. I would wait for a Sage 389 LL or 379 LL on ebay. Or if you wanted to spend a little less a VPS would be nice as well.

But for me nothing beats my Sage SPL and SLT 0wt rods on small waters.

Pssst, the VPS Light was built on the LL blank, with slightly cheaper/uglier parts. A bit newer, and MUCH cheaper than a LL.
