If a person wanted to get a currenty made rod whose action was the closest to a sage slt 5 wt, which one would it be?

A lot of people who I know who own SLTs complement their quivers with the newer ZXL rods. The actions are close (I cannot remember - one is slightly quicker than the other), but the ZXLs have a lighter and crisper feel.

Agreed, the ZXL is the next incarnation of SLT-VPS Light-VPS-LL...basically Sage's high end mod-fast rod. With every generation they make "improvements". Some folks like the changes and buy "new and improved", others stick with what they got. Cast a ZXL and decide for yourself.
