I use to work for them, but I never saw the number 2905. I would assume it was a two piece 9-5 weight. The older ones were built in the US and are pretty good buys at the right price.

I agree with Burk; Vermont-built Diamondbacks were well-built, solid performers. The Stu Apte series in particular had good tapers and durable construction of the old fashoned graphite type (glass scrim and thick walls). The Americana line was a latter, dumbed down transitional product eminating from Cortland's ill-fated aquisition but still OK if made in Vermont. I miss Diamondack and wish they had remained in buisness as an independant company, they could be doing great things today.

Bought an All American 2905 (now Americana,the blank is the same) a few years ago....but didn't like it very much so I sold it on e bay for $90...
