i am looking to buy the tfo ticrx rod (the axiom is too expensive) any thoughts?

The TiCrX rod is a very fast rod. It feels a bit heavy and clunky for my liking. But if you need a rod to haul in fish, it will do it well because it has a very stiff butt section.

For the same amount of money, I would rather have a BVK. It is a lighter and smoother casting rod. You may give up some butt section for lifting.

yeah the butt section is why i was interested in the tcrx im just going to have to cast both to decide

I have both a TCIRX and an Axiom in 9wt and like the TicrX much better. I also have a 7wt TicrX that i never use. I bought it for the salt on days with light winds but i seem to always stick with the 9wt
