Default Echo Solo

I have a new Echo Solo 9' 6wt rod and it's rated as a fast action. It has a SA Headstart line on it. I always liked the line because it shot out my little carp bugs really well. However, on this rod, it just doesn't feel quite right. It feels almost wimpy. The rod itself is not wimpy though. It wants to shoot, but it just doesn't feel like it loads as much as it should. Don't get me wrong, this rod and line casts really well together, but it feels like it could be a cannon given the right combination. I plan on putting a 7wt line on there to see what happens. I've already talked to a few people and buddies, but I wanted to get some opinions from folks here too. Any thoughts?
