i mostly fish for salmon and steelhead.. i would like to know what line to get im currently debating about it... skagit short line? or just regular switch line? and what grain of line is most likely to suit the rod, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This guy is the real deal. He taught me with an 8wt Redington CPX a few years ago. You might do well to contact him. Personally, I know his level of expertise is well above most of ours. Nice guy too - we caught fish together!
