Dang! I look at that site quite often...I remember seeing the Reddington rods but not at that price. I certainly would not pass ups a $65 3wt!

I wish I had known more about Redington rods! Since I've been filling in the ever-growing list of holes in my arsenal since I left the Rockies to come home to TX, I have been encouraged to look at TFO (local here in Dallas).

Hard to find any other inexpensive brands at the shops here for comparison, though they have really gotten them dialed in, IMHO. Some of their stuff is not for me at all, but others are serious fishing machines.

I wish I knew more about the Winston Passports, but can't find one to throw!

i too got on that same deal
got a 7'6" 3WT Redington CT its all set to be tried out on saturday
its my 2nd rod,

it was $64 but with shipping it ended up $73
but since i invited my g/f and she got it under her account for me, i also instantly got a $20 credit on my account,, was thinking about buying a 2nd CT in 4WT, which would have been $44 , but since i never fished one before i decided to save that credit for another time. (CLYMB has fly fishing stuff on it quite often)

I looked and looked at that deal but waited to long to pull the trigger. I was debating what waders to get and wasnt sure I would have the money. Turned out I had enough and then they were gone.

But that is ok. Sierra Trading Post has the Redington CT in a 6 piece 8' 3wt and after all of the discounts I ended up getting it for around $100. Not the $75 dollar deal but I am still pleased.

I am taking it to the Smokies in two weeks and CANNOT WAIT!
